If I purchase a Mechanical Plan do I need an Equipment Plan?

It depends what type of building you’re working on. The elements of an equipment plan vary depending on building type and use. In a large industrial or commercial building, you would find pumps, valves, etc. that control other systems than heating. For instance, in a restaurant, you would find pumps and motors for dumbwaiters; you might find a waste pump (sump pump). Hotels and large buildings often have elevator motors w/hydraulic pumps.
